LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN SPECTATOR SAFETY (RQF)

The Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety qualification is suitable for those people who wish to work at events such as football matches, festivals, concerts and other publicly attended mass gatherings.

This accredited qualification is aimed at learners who wish to gain a nationally recognised and accredited qualification in spectator safety. It provides learners with the knowledge skills and understanding, to enable them to demonstrate competence in Spectator Safety and meets the requirements laid out in the Football Licensing Authority’s Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (known as the Green Guide).

To complete this qualification, learners must have a recognised and in-date L3 First Aid qualification before the qualification can be certificated.

In order to achieve this certificate, learners are required to complete the following seven mandatory units:

• Preparing for spectator events
• Assisting with the movement of spectators
• Dealing with crowd issues at events
• Managing and resolving conflicts
• Dealing with incidents at spectator events
• Supporting the work of the team and organisation
• ACT Counter Terrorism eLearning

After completing the underpinning knowledge for the qualification online over 3 consecutive days with the tutor, learners will then be assessed against all the units at least once whilst working in the spectator safety environment. The cost of this course includes 1 assessment day. Learners will need to arrange with an employer for one of our assessors to attend a live event where they are working in the role of a steward.

Step 2: Email info@thesquaremetre.com with your order confirmation and selected date above.

Step 3: Complete the registration form we send to your email and send to us with your ID. You are enrolled and confirmed at this stage.

Step 4: Complete the pre-requisites sent via email prior to your course dates

Step 5: Join the online 3-day training led by the tutor. You must have a working camera switched on during delivery and a working microphone.

Step 6: Complete the course workbooks and submit your work

Step 7: Book an assessment day with one of our assessors as agreed with your workplace (1^st assessment day included in the price)

Step 8: Gather additional evidence as required following assessment day

Step 9: Book additional Assessment Day if required (An additional charge will apply)

Step 10: Work submitted for quality checks and certification
